This policy explains what information School Manager collects, how we use it, and the choices you have. It applies to schools and the people whose data they manage in the Service.

1. Information we collect

We collect information you provide directly — such as your name, email, phone number and school details when you register — and the school data you choose to store in the Service, including student, staff and guardian records. We also collect basic technical information (such as log data) to keep the Service secure and reliable.

2. How we use your information

We use your information to provide and improve the Service, to communicate with you about your account, to provide support, and to keep the platform secure. We do not sell your data.

3. Data security

We implement appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your data, including role-based access controls, encryption in transit and regular backups.

4. Data retention & ownership

Your school's data belongs to your school. You can export it at any time, and we will delete it on request following account closure, subject to any legal retention obligations.

5. Sharing

We share data only with service providers who help us run the platform (for example hosting and messaging), under agreements that require them to protect it, or where required by law.
